Virginia has produced original scores for numerous films and series and has recorded with prominent orchestras around the world. Her most recent accomplishments include the original scores for the Adult Swim series Psi Cops; seasons 1 and 2 of the Hulu series Endlings, for which she received her Emmy nomination; the feature film Astronaut, starring Richard Dreyfuss; and the orchestration for Robert Egger's The Lighthouse, starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe.
Virginia’s music draws on eclectic influences, fusing rich, classical orchestrations with electronics, jazz, and extended techniques to create a sound that is uniquely her own.
Virginia began studying piano at 5 years old, when her parents discovered she had an incredible ear for music and could play almost any piece she heard without ever having read a note. By age 11, she became the youngest student of renowned teacher and pedagogue Boyanna Toyich, with whom she studied at the University of Toronto through the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Virginia went on to study classical composition and orchestration at McGill University, where she graduated with a citation for Outstanding Achievement in Composition. In addition, she worked extensively within McGill’s Digital Sound Composition Studio on electroacoustic composition. Following her time at McGill, she completed a Master’s in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games at the Berklee College of Music – a program recognized worldwide for its unparalleled hands-on and state-of-the-art instruction.

Upon returning to Canada, Virginia began working with some of Canada's foremost film composers, and was a participant in the prestigious Slaight Music Residency at Norman Jewison’s Canadian Film Center.

Virginia is currently based in Toronto.
